Ingrid Wilts

Biography

Ingrid came to Uganda for the first time in 1981. During the two years she volunteered there, the suffering of the nation touched her heart deeply. When the situation became too dangerous, she returned to the Netherlands, but Uganda never left her heart. She came back in 1989 and started an organisation for street children and local communities.

Those years were characterised by intense oppression and false accusations, and ultimately she was shot—but the name of Jesus saved her life. Over time, Ingrid realised that she was no longer truly living; her life had been reduced to fighting and surviving. There was no love left in her heart, and she doubted God’s love for her.

In 2001, Ingrid travelled to Toronto to attend a ‘School of the Heart’. There, she experienced a profound encounter with Father God’s love. Her heart was deeply touched as she received the revelation that God had been her Father from the moment she was conceived, and that His love is stronger than any evil she had faced.

In 2003, Ingrid handed over the organisation for street children, and Father God took her on an ongoing journey to lead her into her true identity as a child of God. In the years that followed, the land she purchased on the banks of the River Nile was transformed into a safe place, called Mto Moyoni,  for people seeking to experience more of God’s love. Together with a local team, Ingrid now facilitates seminars on the Fatherheart of God and Heart Transformation programs, leading many people into their true identity as sons of God.

Ingrid’s personal journey of transformation is documented in her book, River in the Heart, which can be ordered through Amazon.
