This ‘A’ School, held in July 2024 on the Ivory Coast, was led in person by Josephat and Claire with Samuel and Ruth joining us online.
Samuel and Ruth spoke English and an interpreter translated into French while another interpreter translated into Ivory Coast sign language for the Deaf. Using ‘Zoom’ proved to be a challenge for the internet connection and it was also a challenge for the Deaf to watch an interpreter sign from an interpreter speaking English to French by Zoom!! However, despite all of this, the Deaf received and understood the teaching that Ruth and Samuel brought.
They especially received revelation about the importance of heart forgiveness. For many their hearts had long been closed towards their parents from the time that they were saved. This was because of the trauma they had experienced for many years due to the way their parents treated them. The Deaf realised the need to have an open heart towards God and their parents and they wrote letters to their parents.
They experienced soaking and received the Father’s Embrace from the team and for the first time heard about the Motherheart of God and their hearts received comfort.
On the final evening some of them gave their testimonies about the difficult situations they had experienced in their life and what Father had shown them during the ‘A’ School week. Some of their testimonies in summary were;
Testimonies:
- Sandrine shared that she had closed her heart and it became scarred. When she became a Christian she heard the gospel from the church yet still her heart was closed. She learned about the Fatherheart and Motherheart of God the Father for the first time at this school and the importance of heart forgiveness. She decided to meet with her parents to give them the letter and ask for forgiveness. She wants to make peace and restore relationship between her and her parents and to have a daughter’s heart towards God.
- Besse learned during the ‘A’ School week he had experienced a wound and had closed his heart. During soaking he felt the Holy Spirit speak to him. He prayed to ask Father that he would be able to forgive his parents and that the wound in his heart would heal. This was begun during the Fatherheart A School, and Father will reveal more in the next year.
- Tisse Michael’s heart doubted what was taught during the week at the ‘A’ School. Although he did not believe he still tried to continue to hear what was taught. During soaking someone touch him then the Holy Spirit said “move, move”. He woke with a feeling this was the action he needed to take. Then we taught about heart of forgiveness, which was the opposite to how he had been living life. He had promised never to forgive his parents because of a wounded heart. He is praying that God will heal his heart so he can then forgive his parents.
- Fane Mohamed closed his heart many years ago to hearing from a Pastor/Preacher. He experienced Fatherheart A school this week, and God revealed He is his real Father. During soaking someone touched him then his heart changed. He went home, he considered and read the Bible, then came back to focus on the teaching. He felt his heart slowly beginning to feel again. The Fatherheart ‘A’ School week was not long enough and he looks forward to receiving more from Father in the future.
- Ouattara Balla had heard about the need to forgive his parents from a pastor who preached at his church, but he did not understand. Josephat explained at the ‘A’ School about heart of forgiveness and he clearly understood what that meant. He wrote the letter to his parents about asking for their forgiveness.
- Tegbao Danielle learned about heart of forgiveness and that having a heart of sonship towards our parents is important. She was able to forgive the trauma caused to her heart and will go to her parents to ask their forgiveness.
Please pray for them:
For opportunities for more Fatherheart A Schools in Ivory Coast next year.
They need to heal by Father’s love of grace.
They will reconcile with their parents.
