False Covering of Fig Leaves MP3

When the covering of the Father’s love was lost, shame entered the human heart, and fig leaves were sewn together to hide our nakedness. Ever since, we have learned to clothe ourselves with identities, achievements, ministry, and confidence in ourselves in order to feel acceptable and secure.

In this teaching, James Jordan uncovers the false coverings we rely on, even within Christian life, and invites us to let go of what makes us feel strong, capable, and in control. He shows that these fig leaves, however impressive, keep us from knowing God as Father.

As we learn to live without our own coverings, we discover the true covering of the Father’s love. In His love, shame is removed, striving ends, and we find ourselves at home again as sons and daughters.
