We would like to invite you to discover an ancient way of relating with your Heavenly Father; the language of love that flows through silence. Elijah knew that the Lord was not in the great and powerful wind, in the earthquake or in the fire –that he would be found in the silence. He only emerged from the cave at Horeb when he heard that silence. The desert fathers and mothers also knew the delight of communion with God in silence, solitude, simplicity and prayer, the art of listening beyond speech.
This Directed Silent Retreat is an exciting new expression for Fatherheart Ministries. It will be held over five days, including three full days of silence, within the beautiful grounds of Seven Fountains in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is a time to be stilled, to be quietened, to allow our hearts to see and hear with greater clarity and depth. Following check-in on the afternoon of the 15th , we will have time together to equip you and prepare you for the stillness. The 16th to 18th will be three full days of silence. Each day you will meet with a spiritual director for 40 minutes for individual spiritual direction in English or Thai (with Nia or Manuela). On the 19th we will gather after breakfast for a time of reflection and listening to one anothers hearts. Our time together will draw to a close with lunch.
